About the Business
Formed in 2003 to specialise in defending personal injury claims, we provide a pragmatic, flexible and focused approach to dispute resolution. DGB Principal, Debbie Black trained at Weightmans and spent 14 years at DLA Piper, before leaving to establish her own firm. She has vast experience of defending all types of claim but has a particular specialism in defending marine-related employers' and public liability claims both pleasurecraft and commercial, acting for insurers, P&I Clubs and private companies to government departments and uninsured defendants. She also advises clients on implementing risk management strategies. Putting together the right team for each client is important to us. In addition to the DGB team we work alongside specialist, experienced industry professionals to build and support your case. Our team of consultants includes marine lawyer, Janet Fallon, Chair of the Port of Workington Harbour Board, and a former solicitor with Hill Dickinson and Weightmans.
