I am looking for a person who has experience of dealing with elderly/social services/NHS issues who can advise me about the “legal aspects” of my 94-year-old mother moving from Barry Hospital into a nursing home in Penarth. My mother and I own the Penarth property 50/50 (left to me in my father’s will 14 years ago). There are 3 issues I need advice on: 1. Legal position of my 50% ownership of house. 2. Legal charge on property-v- deferred payment route. 3. NHS Continuous Healthcare assessment.
